Após décadas trabalhando no universo da educação, a arquiteta brasileira Lourdes Luz (foto abaixo) decidiu fazer bolsas em 2018. Um ano depois, ela pegou sua bagagem cultural e deu início a um novo desafio: a página Arte.in.forma no Instagram. Este mês, ela está comemorando seu segundo aniversário com duas atrações imperdíveis: um tour virtual por uma exposição dos mais famosos grafiteiros brasileiros (“Os Gêmeos: Segredos”) e o curso “Geometria Sagrada e sua Arquitetura Mágica”./ After decades working in the educational universe, Brazilian architect Lourdes Luz (photo below) decided to make bags in 2018. One year later, she took her cultural baggage and began a new challenge: Arte.in.forma Instagram page. This month it is celebrating its second anniversary with two unmissable attractions: a virtual tour through an exhibition of the most famous Brazilian graffiti artists (“Os Gêmeos: Segredos”/ “Os Gemeos: Secrets”) and a course entitled “Geometria Sagrada e sua Arquitetura Mágica” (“Sacred Geometry and its Magic Architecture”).
Para aqueles que não a conhecem, algumas informações sobre o currículo de Lourdes: ela é doutora em artes visuais, arquiteta e professora universitária. Lourdes foi diretora de educação do Sesc/Senac e pró-reitora de pós-graduação, pesquisa e extensão da Universidade Veiga de Almeida, ambos os cargos na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. É também autora de dois eBooks: “Lisboa e Arredores” e “De Coimbra a Porto e seus Arredores“./ For those who do not know her, some pieces of information on Lourdes’ CV: she is PhD in Visual Arts, architect, and professor. Lourdes was education director of Sesc/Senac and dean of postgraduate studies, research, and extension at Universidade Veiga de Almeida, both in Rio de Janeiro city. O primeiro evento será no dia 8 de maio (neste sábado!), das 18h às 20h. Será um tour virtual gratuito pela exposição de Otávio e Gustavo Pandolfo na Pinacoteca de São Paulo (1905), o museu de arte mais antigo da cidade. Os irmãos gêmeos, mais conhecidos como Os Gêmeos, são considerados referências do graffiti e da arte urbana no Brasil./ The first event will be on May 8th (this Saturday!) from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. It will be a free virtual tour through the exhibition of Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo at Pinacoteca de Sao Paulo (1905), the city’s oldest art museum. The twin brothers, best known as Os Gemeos, are credited as leaders of graffiti and urban art in Brazil.
Figuras peculiares, amarelas e de cabeças oblongas (alongadas) e formatos grandes demais se tornaram a assinatura visual deles. Suas pinturas e seus desenhos narrativos criticam a desigualdade social, mas aspiram a criar esperança. Os Gêmeos alcançaram destaque internacional tanto nas ruas (com seus murais pelo mundo) quanto em galerias e museus em diversos países, como Estados Unidos, Itália, Espanha, Inglaterra, Alemanha, Cuba, Chile e Japão./ Quirky, yellow, and oblong-headed figures and oversize formats have become their visual signature. Their narrative paintings and drawings criticize social inequity, but aspire to create hope. Os Gemeos have risen to international prominence both on streets (with their murals around the world) and in galleries and museums in several countries such as the United States, Italy, Spain, England, Germany, Cuba, Chile, and Japan.

O curso “Geometria Sagrada e sua Arquitetura Mágica” mostrará como os antigos construtores tinham um profundo conhecimento de engenharia, matemática, astronomia e magia. Prepare-se para aprender sobre Machu Picchu (Peru), Stonehenge (Inglaterra) e muito mais./ The second event will be on May 10th and 12th.
