Vem da Holanda este interessante e ecológico projeto chamado “Raindrop”. Desenhado para ser instalado em paredes externas, ele tem uma função muito importante: coletar a água da chuva e reutilizá-la. Criado por Bas van der Veer, é composto por uma tubulação + barril + regador, integrados à calha do telhado da casa./ It comes from The Netherlands this interesting ecological project called “Raindrop” . Designed to mount to exterior walls, it has a very important function: collecting rainwater and reusing it. Created by Bas van der Veer, it is composed by a tubing + barrel + watering can, integrated with the roof trough of the house.
Como funciona? Muito simples: quando chove, a água da chuva cai automaticamente na tubulação, enchendo, primeiramente, o regador removível. Com o regador cheio, o excesso de água da chuva é mantido dentro do corpo principal do barril./How does it function? Very simple: when it rains, rainwater falls automatically into the tubing, filling up the removable watering can first. With the can filled, the excess rainwater is kept inside the main body of the barrel.
O usuário não tem que encher o regador com a preciosa água da torneira, mas usa a água de chuva, gratuita, em vez disso, para regar o jardim ou lavar a louça, por exemplo. Há também uma torneira na parte inferior do barril, para permitir o enchimento fácil do regador, ou, se necessário, uma mangueira pode ser anexada./ The user doesn’t have to fill the can with precious tap water, but uses ‘free’ rainwater instead to water the garden or wash the dishes, for instance. There’s also a tap at the bottom of the barrel to allow for easy refilling of the watering can, or, if needed, a hose can be attached.

E foi selecionado para vários outros prestigiados prêmios de design, entre os quais o Melkweg Award e o Condé Nast Traveller I&D Awards.
